"This hotel is truly the best of the best! I came with 3 friends and we stayed in a Vista Double Suite with 2 king beds. The hotel staff were an absolute dream. By the end of our trip they felt like family. Every time we sat down fresh glasses of ice water were brought to us. They were so attentive to all of our needs. Concierge booked all of our excursions and helped when we needed to change things around. They all got billed through the hotel which made things much easier. The hotel also provided a shuttle to and from the beach and helped call us tuktuks to town at night after the shuttle stopped running for the day. Breakfast every morning was something we looked forward to every day following the yoga class in the am, all which are included with the cost of the room. Laundry service was also included so going home with no dirty laundry was a bonus. We were so sad to leave but promised each other we’d be back in the future!"

"The room was wonderful and bright. The staff did an amazing job at cleaning it and keeping it fresh. the entirety of the gilded iguana staff was kind and helpful. the breakfast was delicious and there was a variety of good eat options. the whole resort was well air conditioned and we never felt hot for a second while in our room. The kids club is amazing and the pool is pristine and the perfect temperature. and it is only a five minute walk away from a stunning beach. i definitely recommend the gilded iguana."

"Very cool place. Unique and beautiful. My kids loved the pool area, the pool table and swings chairs. Beds were very comfortable and the coffee machine with coffee at the hut was a nice surprise "

"Staff were super friendly and kind. Pool is big and awesome. Location is right in the heart of Guiones so not quiet but very convenient. Mati at the juice/coffee bar is super cool, a great surf instructor, and has great insight into the area. Expectations exceeded."

"For the money, ESH is a great deal. Very upscale, quiet, and the entire staff will accommodate every need or request at all times. It’s not on the coast, but rather up the hill about 5 minutes from town and the beach. Town is a happening place whereas ESH is simply peaceful. Best of both worlds. "
