"This is a great place to stay before or after a flight at Halifax. It is minutes from the airport. I wouldn't want to stay longer than a day or two. It is a basic room and can be noisy with people coming and going for fights"
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Halifax - Bedford by IHG
8/10 Good
"We enjoyed our stay here very much. The hotel is quiet even though it is close to the highway. The rooms were clean and the staff were all very helpful. The breakfast was perfect to start a busy day."
"Room was immaculate; had a 2 Queen room with a kitchenette for myself and my kids. The kitchenette was great and fully stocked, the sink was deep, the bathroom was beautiful with the toilet in a separate room with its own door. The room was large with a small 2 seater couch. Beds were very comfortable with lots of firm and soft pillows. The pool and hot tub were also great; the kids loved the water slide. There were always lots of clean towels and the pool bathrooms were large, brand new, and clean with a shower as well (two single use washrooms great for families). Denny’s in the hotel was a nice touch (kids eat dinner for free Tuesdays and Saturdays). Hotel is located well, close proximity to the airport, Walmart, different food options and shopping. A 10 minute drive to the ferry to cross to Halifax for day trips. We had a 3 night stay for a quick visit in Nova Scotia before we went to PEI, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling for personal or business purposes. Will definitely stay here again!"
"No elevator access to where our room was so had to carry our luggage up and down the stairs. Staff was super friendly. No signs letting you know where to find stuff. Ice, fitness room. Not the hotels fault but the people across from us constantly went in and out of their room at night and knocked to go back in. Very disturbing and disrespectful. Food from the restaurant on site was great."
"The room was very clean and very nice. The bed and bedding super comfortable. The view was amazing! The staff were very helpful. We had an issue getting in to the parking garage. All the buttons and instructions were a bit confusing…it never spit out a ticket and I thought we had to prepay and my card got stuck in the machine. We pushed the help button and the baker came out to help us first then one of front desk staff was able to retrieve my card from the ma home and told me we’d be issued a ticket upon checking in. Check in process went well and we were given our key cards and parking ticket. It wasn’t until we went to leave the next day that we found out the lady who checked us in had issues parking ticket that expired on the date we were checking in. When we tried to leave it kept spitting the ticket out saying it was expired. We once again had to hit the help button and they raised the gates for us. There were cars behind us waiting to get out by this point and it was embarrassing even thought it wasn’t our fault. Other than the whole parking fiasco the rest of our stay was nice and the staff was nice and helpful, the room was lovely."
