Nice stay but AC needs improvement!

The room was clean, the staff was great! The Air conditioning was not working and that’s my only complaint. The unit & control were very outdated and simply didn’t work. Breakfast was amazing and once again staff was friendly and very helpful!

Changes are not always for the better!

We’ve been staying at this hotel for many years … so much has changed and some of it not for the better: Guests now have to pay for parking. There’s not a bar of soap in the bathroom although we asked for one a few times & finally bought our own. Not about price but concept . Shower only had shampoo & conditioner in large containers … there was no liquid soap. When we complained they replaced conditioner with liquid soap! No Wash rags available . So a simple basic need available in any inferior hotels became frustrating. Staff has changed and although we had two nice reception attendants most of them didn’t seem to care … Reason we always stay here is because it’s convenient, accommodating and previous staff went beyond the usual to make sure guests were comfortable.

Very basic rooms and unwelcoming reception staff: Swan tower Novo Hamburgo is said to be a 4 star hotel from the outside and in the lobby but it lacks the very basic room amenities such as a bathrobe, a pair of disposable slippers, an iron and a simple coffee jug- no 4am coffee lol unless you called over the phone (paid extra) and that would probably be a bother understandably. Bar looked amazing but it was a real struggle to get anyone to help. Always empty and unattended. Rooms were VERY basic and shower needs a good glass and tile scrub. Black mould was spotted easily all over and away from eye level. the rostered staff did not smile or say hi at all for the 5 days we stayed. they appeared literally glued to the reception computers completely unaware of everything around them for the 5 days we stayed there and we passed by the reception dozens of times. One had to call their attention otherwise they wouldn't even raise an eye, or say hi, or try to look friendly. It was a very odd behaviour overall from the all-male reception staff, no help was offered at any time - actually one young man offered help once -, but we had to drag heavy suitcases around which they pretended not to see…a bit of a shock..absolutely no smiles or friendly welcomes either. It almost felt like we were a bother to the reception staff, definitely not staying there again for this reason. Amazing food though and free buffet breakfast was superb - chef’s burger and the kitchen staff were amazing.

O hotel é muito bom, mas ainda, precisa de uns ajustes, seja em pequenos detalhes úteis (como disponibilizar copos no quarto) , até uma maior organização na entrada do hotel, onde os carros se acumulam para as pessoas fazerem check in, mas no geral atendimento eficiente, gentil e hotel bonito.

Em geral a propriedade [e muito boa. o que deixou a desejar foi o estado de conservacao do banheiro, com ladrilhos de piso manchados, paredes descascados, e as toalhas mal conservadas dando a impressao de mal lavadas.
