"The hotel is nice..staff and room wonderful. The hotel has a restaurant but is not open at this time. Hotel is not near anywhere to get a decent coffee or breakfast. You are paying the same price as many hotels who offer either a breakfast(free or pay) or are beside a Tim Hortons. Will not return until restaurant is open."

If I visit Hamilton again I’ll definitely want to stay at Rose Arden."

"This was a (low-budget) option for 1 night. There were no room keys available, and the breakfast should (not) be called breakfast at all. (Breakfast) was the grab & go kind of breakfast with (mini muffins) & coffee, & not much else. We couldn't even get hot water, as the machine was not working. So this is not the place where you can sit and eat - so don't be fooled into paying the price thinking that you will get (breakfast). The place needs a face lift, and overall it was a basic stay....

While I agree the property and room is showing its age, my room very clean and comfortable and just what I needed for a quick stay without spending too much money. It is also located in a good place for grabbing food and other essentials. I had a pleasant stay and everything I needed. I was also upgraded from a queen to a king at no extra cost.
