The island of #Naxos in #Greece. Great place to visit. Not as popular as #Santorini or #Mykanos. Not even close. But as Greek as you can get. Naxos town is on the bottom and little Greek villages all along the bus ride up the hill. Not sure about the beeches but perfect for a I want to be Greek vacation.
The Portara stands on Palatia, which was once a hill but is now a separate little island connected to Naxos by a causeway. The Portara is the entrance to an unfinished temple that faces directly toward Delos, Apollo's birthplace. For this reason most scholars believe it was dedicated to Apollo, but some think it was built in honor of Dionysus, who was worshipped on Naxos Island.

Searching for the hotel was very difficult. It's located between other hotels and homes. It's next to another hotel which becomes confusing when following the directions the GPS gives you and if you ask people, they don't know where the hotel is. Once we found the hotel the staff and stay were amazing! ...
