"The staff were very kind & the hotel was very clean. The dinner I got served with my stay was amazing! The private bath house was also very nice. A lot of amenities provided. Free tea, ramen, etc. Be aware that the hotel is a far (about 30 minute) walk from the bus station and about 40 from the village. There are shuttle busses that will take you there, but they are small & only run at certain times. Plan ahead accordingly (I did not, which was my own fault.)"

"Had a great 2 night stay. Staff is great and super helpful. Ryokan is located a few minutes walk from the train station, and 10 minutes or so from old town. Japanese breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend."

"Personnel très accueillant et souriant. L’établissement est très propre et l’on a apprécié les yukata pour chacun d’entre nous pour aller aux bains. Pas de douches privées (en travaux) mais juste des onsens ( au top! ) pour homme et femme séparés. Rapport qualité / prix imbattable 😉"

"Absolutely wonderful experience! We arrived late and were unable to contact the ryokan to let them know. We were feeling down because we thought we had missed the traditional dinner. But when we arrived, the ladies of the inn quickly got us checked in and had the kitchen prepare dinner right before it closed. And the traditional Japanese dinner was amazing! I cannot say how much I appreciate the thoughtful service. "

"We had an excellent stay at the Irori Yado Hidaya. The staff are excellent and make your stay great by their attention to detail and their friendliness. The hotel is a traditional Ryokan i.e. you sleep on futons, have floor seats etc. and we loved embracing this for 2 nights. The hotel offers free incence, candy, tea, and you can try on Yukata's on and even borrow them to go into town. "I stayed 1 night to explore the surrounding World Heritage villages and it was amazing. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. I had dinner and breakfast and both were plentiful and delicious. We were offered rides to the villages and given guidance on how to take the bus as well. I highly recommend staying here to enjoy the Japanese Alps"

"Hôtel traditionnel ancien mais très bien entretenu avec des jolis bains en extérieur. Nous étions présent pendant le festival de l’automne et l’hôtel proposait une navette gratuite pour nous emmener et nous ramener. Le personnel était très accueillant et gentil. Je recommande. "
