"Not impressed, certainly not a 4 star hotel or experience, young girl with thick eyeliner on the desk is very rude! Hotel is cashless wasn’t made aware of this before we got there. Swimming pool is small, cold and the surrounding floor is slippy, the rooms are odd there are no doors on the bathroom. No robes or slippers are provided. No mugs to make tea or coffee.
It’s also a good 45 minute walk into the city centre. "

"Unless you are prepared to use your phone for everything, this is a contactless property, and at times that was frustrating. Also, our room was not ready at 3:00 check-in time, when we flew in early and had already waited 6 hours. Not only was the room not ready, it wasn’t properly cleaned. "When we did the check-in process, the staff was standing and kindly showed us how to do with the touch panel.
Whole the building has high sense of art, and there is a lot of interesting furniture everywhere.
The equipment of the room is also unique and I had never seen such things before.

"Free shuttle service weaknesses: overcrowded, unreliable pickups at AMS airport, you load your own baggage on bus, goes to 3 Ibis locations but no announcement at each stop which Ibis, signage of each hotel impossible to see from crowded bus. Possibility of extremely limited dinner service on holidays as Easter offerring was hamburger and pizza. Snacks selection minimal and no restaurants nearby. Breakfast offerings were very good."

"Lift doesn't work which is understandable but there is nobody at reception to try to help guests which is absolutely unacceptable. We have a big luggage we have to move it from level 4 through stairs. lucky we are just at level 4.
There is a convenient store but prices are over double of normal price.
Ask them to call a taxi to centraal which i checked rated $30 by Uber but they charged us $70."

"Everything is quite simply ideal for the leisure traveler. You couldn’t ask for a better location, in the heart of one of the best neighborhoods without feeling crowded or touristy. The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful, and the amenities are excellent. If you plan to do a canal tour, definitely plan to do this through the hotel’s boat, The Tourist, which boasts a historical link to Winston Churchill.
