"Overall, very good. The staff (front desk, bar & restaurant) was excellent; professional and friendly. Hotel is new, so it was fresh and clean. Good meals from Recess, and sitting in the outside bar with a beverage was very pleasant. Location is convenient to Powell’s Books and other shopping, restaurants. "The hotel is beautiful but old. The curtains in our room was ripped and the window in our friend’s room on the 12th floor was missing the safety lock so it opened all the way which would be scary if there were children with us. They wrongfully charged me for valet but it seems to be getting resolved pretty quickly. The halls are creepy but I guess that’s all part of the lore. "
