"This resort is exquisite. It is located directly on the beach but also seems like it is in a jungle or Forest. The property is extremely well maintained and the staff was exceptional. We were given a room that we weren't exactly pleased with and they were able to accommodate our needs and provide us with a different room. We loved being able to walk around the property with our small child. I would come back anytime."

The decor makes the hotel feel so unique—it doesn’t feel like a typical hotel at all. I love how it has such a local, cozy vibe. It even smells amazing in there!"

"Everything is just as advertised but better. The owners put a lot of thought into making sure that all the little things you need are provided. The rooms are extra clean and well decorated with beach theme in mind. The continental breakfast was perfect for a light breakfast and coffee. They even had snacks in the evening and it was even decorated for Easter. The location is perfect for walking to everything in Folly. We are definitely looking at returning in the future."

"The property needs a lot of updating. The elevators were out of order many times during our stay resulting in our family, including a child with an ankle fracture, having to walk up 8 flights of stairs multiple times. The bathrooms have no ventilation. There is no furniture on the balconies. Overall, I will not be staying at Tides again. "

"Our DoubleTree stay was delightful. It took us a second to recognize that parking all the way in back was the most convenient option, then things were great. Everthing was clean and well-kept, and we especially appreciated the layout of the king-bed room with the couch under the window."

"There was no bedding for the sofa sleeper, when i called to request the bedding, the staff at the front desk said she would have the bedding brought to the room. They never did. I also did not receive bonvoy points for the stay."
