I stay at this hotel as close, to visit family. Each time I ask for a quiet room, well ahead of time & each time this has failed me! Having been reassured that I would be given a quiet room, I was put next to the ice machine (when I rang reception, having discovered this, I was told it was not working). Behold, it was fixed the next day. On the other side of me was a very large family with many children, including a very young one of tantrum age. The rooms are not sound proof to a toddler's frequent rage & noisy children running up and down the hallway, playing games!
I did tell reception the next day & was offered another room, but after a long flight & having ironed my clothes & got groceries in the fridge, I was too exhausted to pack everything up again & move it all.
Sadly, the noisty family stayed my entire week & the ice machine was in continuous use, into the night!
Also, the hob had burned on liquid which housekeeping sprayed with cleaner, but would not come off. She said it would have to be replaced likely. I let reception know that there is indeed hob cleaner for this purpose or simple baking soda & vinegar. Unfortunately the hob remained as was. I am amazed that housekeeping is not provided with hob cleaner, when each room has a hob!
Also, despite my comments last visit, I still had to ask for oat milk each time for my coffee & wait for it to be brought out & put back in the kitchen again & still plastic cutlery in use!
