"Hotel offers excellent value for money and is a great base for exploring the area. While the hotel is comfortable, it would benefit from some renovations, particularly the bathrooms. There is plenty of on-site parking, and the restaurant serves a great selection of tasty food. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay, and I'd happily recommend it to anyone looking for affordable accommodation in the region."

"I would not recommend staying here if you want to get a good night's rest. You can literally hear everything through the walls, conversations, doors opening, footsteps, etc. Tried calling management to change my room, but they did not respond to my messages or answer the phone. Very disappointed, in particular to the response I received after I had checked out (see email acknowledging the issue)."

"Our family stayed here over the weekend in a two-bedroom unit, and we had a wonderful experience. The unit was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The highlight, though, was the breathtaking panoramic view of Lake Taupō. Waking up to the sunrise over the lake in the morning was a truly memorable experience. The location is also fantastic. It’s close to the Tongariro Trout Centre, which is well worth a visit, and the scenic drive to and around the area is...

"Every time we travel to Taupo we stay at Mototere holiday park. It is clean, well maintained and friendly staff. Trout fishing over the road is good. Trucks passing on main road through the night we thought would be a problem, after our first stay it didn't become an issue at all. Only 15 minutes travel from Taupo it is a excellent place to rest up and relax. Thank you Mototere holiday park, we will be back"

"We ate in thier restaurant for dinner, nothing special. The rice is so hard to eat. The room is not that clean..and even the bathroom. 2 nights for $700+ is not worth it sorry. 👎"

"I stayed for 3 nights during local trail running race event. The place is really tidy and well maintained. I sensed the owners' passion for this place and Tongariro region. The kitchen is spacious, has large fridges and everything you need. You can bring your own food and cook without any hassles. The lounge is even better with pool table and table tennis table. There are two decent restaurants, a petrol station and 4-square supermarket nearby, so you can find all the essentials. "
