"A great heritage place to stay for a few days of exploring Alleppy, beaches and the backwaters, located across a local road by the massive beach. Hotel is a lovely well maintained old traditional building with a swimming pool and restaurant. Paid a bit more for a large traditional room with a large shared lounge and outside seating area next to the pool. Great restaurant and chef with a good menu choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner also serving alcohol. Guys in the restaurant very helpful...

"OMG what a wonderful trip/adventure. The boat cruised around the back waters for about 4 hours. First before we cruised they served us a wonderful lunch. Then while cruising we stopped at a fish market to buy us whatever we wanted to eat for dinner. I bought 6 giant prawns that they cooked up for me in addition to the other chicken dish we had for dinner. Delish!! Vacation time well spent."

"The owners were very accommodating and brought me a plate of papaya as I was leaving. The room air conditioning worked well. Almost too well. I got cold at night. lol"

"Bathrooms were very basic. Shower didn't work. No toilet paper. No wi-fi, though Hotels.com said there was free wi-fi. Bed sheets were dirty. Cook was rude. The sriver was nice and friendly "
