"Isolated location but convenient for hiking, fishing, etc. Cottages are well constructed and comfortable. Try to get one a bit away from the restaurant. Good choice for younger travelers looking to enjoy the outdoors; not so much for older people with any mobility issues."

"Convenient location on Lake Tahoe Blvd & easy parking. Rooms have been nicely renovated, but definitely use the earplugs provided as the street noise and any talking from the adjoining rooms is quite loud. Mattress a bit on the firm side if that’s not your thing."

"I would stay here again. It’s close enough to everything. I really liked how the building to get to your rooms was locked and you needed your room key to get in. They do have someone in the office 24/7 if needed. Even though this is on the main road, you do not hear the traffic at all."

"My husband and I specifically made a 3 night reservation at the Kit Carson Lodge over the 4th of July weekend because we were told by an employee over the phone that the room included a microwave and a fridge, plates and cutlery That was not true. We arrived with multiple perishables and cooked food, o find out, upon arrival, that there were neither plates & cutlery NOR a microwave NOR a fridge. "Cozy and beautiful cabin. You will really need to have a suv or any high clearance car to park in the driveway due to the steepiness of the driveway(included in the instructions.) No air conditioning except for masters bedroom. Might be better to have portable AC in all rooms during summer. Most of of us, unable to sleep because it was hot when we went. 90s weather. Fans are provided if needed otherwise ceiling fans are installed. Nice to have private hot tub and private pool, sauna and...

"Great property and staff is very communicative! Easy to check-in/check-out. We were late to check in and had an issue with the lock accessing our keys. We could reach out to them easily, and staff was there to help in 5-7mins. 10/10 recommend if you're looking for a group stay. "
