Customer service was great. No complaints there.
The rooms, on the other hand were a different story.
We stayed one night, reserved two rooms.
My two major complaints are cleanliness and safety.
Cleanliness:
Both rooms smelled overwhelmingly like smoke (in nonsmoking rooms)! Gave us quite the headache.
The bed sheets had human hair pretty much everywhere, and what looked like many (hopefully) dirt stains. Seems like they weren’t washed, and they just made the bed because they were “clean enough”. In the bathroom, there was what looked like mold growing on the floor corners. Faded red stains that looked like blood on the floor as well.
Safety :
One of our doors looked like it had been kicked in. The lock was very difficult to open and close. When it was closed, it did not feel secure; if you jiggled the door handle from the outside, the door moved. The lock area was completely warped, jagged, and popping out. The door hinges were rusted and had pins popping out. This door was on its last leg. I’ve attached pics.
The area surrounding the motel was safe for the most part. No sketchy people hanging around, and the cars were fine.
The walls were also very thin. Super wonderful when our upstairs neighbors decided to shower at 2 am.
I’d give it one star for the reasons I’ve mentioned, but it did the job in terms of temporary lodging. We traveled with pets and it was a good enough option considering it was the only reasonably priced hotel I could find in the area.
