"I booked their "luxury apartment". Unfortunately, I quickly realized that there wasn't much "luxury" about it after all. As soon as I stepped inside, there was a terrible smell throughout the apartment. (I found out that it was coming from the drain pipe in the shower). The air conditioning in the room was connected to a pipe system that ran through the bathroom, had collapsed, the bathroom door couldn't close completely. Pardubice became a town sometime around 1340. Back then it was owned by the Lords of Pardubice, the most prominent figure of the line being Arnošt of Pardubice, the first Archbishop of Prague, advisor and friend to Emperor Charles IV, a distinguished European personality of that time.
