"Very comfortable room. Staff were helpful. We would have liked more help from the restaurant when it came to my wife's need for gluten free food. We tried to have dinner there one night and were offered only one choice which would have been a very basic meal. For breakfast my wife was informed by the staff that "all bread is gluten free", it's not! I would have thought that being part of the Shangri-La group, your staff and kitchen could do better here. Otherwise we had a good stay"

"Upon arriving at the hotel, the first impression was very positive. The property is beautiful, well-presented, and the staff were welcoming. Check-in was smooth and efficient with no issues at all. The room itself was well-appointed, clean, and comfortable—exactly what you would expect from a hotel at this level. Unfortunately, this is where things began to go wrong. That evening, I discovered there was no hot water. I contacted the front desk, and to their credit, they responded quickly and sent an engineer within a short time. I was told the issue had been resolved after about 30 minutes. However, the next morning, the hot water was once again not working. When I called down, I was informed that no engineer was available at that time. I was then offered a room change, despite the fact that I was checking out within four hours—so it wasn’t a practical solution. As a result, I had to take another cold shower. To make matters worse, while I was in the shower, the engineer arrived and repeatedly knocked on my door, despite me having already declined further assistance. Shortly after, my room phone also began ringing. It was frustrating to be interrupted while dealing with an issue that should have been properly resolved the night before. The front desk staff clearly tried to help and were polite throughout, but the failure ultimately came down to the engineering side not fixing the problem correctly the first time. "The staff was amazing. Thank you to Razi for helping us extend when our flight was delayed. The room is definitely 4 stars. AC was weak. Took almost an hour to drop 4 degrees. Had to ask for towels and TP and the bed is quite firm. That said, it is close to shopping and the airport and the pool was nice and not crowded at all. Would stay again. And the price on site was actually less than Expedia! "

"After checking in, we headed to our room. The hallways are dark and have an ironing board and iron placed against one wall that the entire floor is expected to use. The hallways and room smelled like mothballs triggering the wife's allergies. She became short of breath. The office showed us a different room on another floor. Same issue. We forfeited the money and went around the corner to the Granite Hotel. 100 times better."

"Spacious rooms, excellent location and functionality.. Nothing spectacular, but everything avaliable and walking distance for everything. Grab to everywhere is less than 10 minutes. Highly recommended if you want to be in Georgetown "

"Gorgeous hotel and beautiful room for a very good price. Prob the best hotel on our Malaysian travels. Amazing rooftop swimming pool (with crazy see through bottom) and rooftop bar with stunning views. Downside was no breakfast available at hotel but they offered a free morning bus service into town and suggested food places for breakfast. 5 stars and would definitely recommend xx"
