"Everyone on the staff, from check-in to restaurant to cleaning staff were extremely friendly and helpful! The breakfast was really good and we enjoyed it every day. Would highly recommend this hotel."

Kimball Terrace Inn Northeast Harbor

"Our stay at Kimball Terrace was overall a good experience. Staff upon arriving were pleasant, rooms get cleaned on a daily basis, and everything gets replenished (towels, bedding, etc.). The surrounding area is nice; there is a marina, two tennis courts, and a small, park-like area where you can walk. The rooms have a fridge in which you can store food, which is great if you're looking to be on a budget (as college students, we definitely were!). However, you cannot cook in the rooms, and you will be charged a $200 fee if you do so. Breakfast is most definitely not included, so you can opt to go to the restaurant right next door (beware of prices—we weren't!), go elsewhere, or make your own. The pool area is medium-sized, and the pool itself is too. They do have coffee and tea in the main lobby that you can refill at any time without limit, as well as a vending machine in case you get the munchies at night. Given the location, we did need a car to get from point A to point B, however, it's not over a 25-minute drive (if not less), so no complaints there. Overall, I would recommend Kimball Terrace and would stay here again."

"The Main Street Motel is wonderful! We had really nice rooms. The lobby had 24 hour coffee and snacks available. The location of the hotel is great for walking around Bar Harbor. Most importantly to us, the staff at the Main Street Motel is excellent!! A special shout-out to Brittany! She went above and beyond in helpfulness when our plans had to be modified due to an airline cancelation. We will choose the Main Street Motel when we come back to Bar Harbor."

"We had an excellent stay and would absolutely stay here again. The hotel is exceptionally clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed. If the traditional “old quilt on every bed” Maine aesthetic isn’t your style, this property offers a much more contemporary experience without sacrificing comfort. The rooms were surprisingly quiet and well insulated—we never heard noise from neighboring rooms or the hallway, which is rare and a huge plus for light sleepers. The location was perfect. We were able to walk easily to Bar Harbor’s shops and restaurants as well as the sand bar leading to Bar Island. Parking was convenient and hassle-free in the covered garage below the hotel. The food, cocktails, and overall bar experience exceeded our expectations and were among the highlights of our stay. Combined with the friendly staff, spotless rooms, and unbeatable location, this made for a fantastic visit. We’d return in a heartbeat."
