"I had often heard that the area around Gare du Midi was unsafe and dirty, but I was pleasantly surprised. While some parts just outside the train station weren’t very clean and had a number of homeless people sleeping there, the streets near our hotel as well as the metro and train stations were nice and felt fine. "David, the manager was so helpful, responsive and kind. He met us at the apartment and shared recommendations for the area. It was a rare heatwave and despite no AC he promptly brought up large fans, a brand new bed and extra pillows. The apartment was well appointed, had a washer with drying racks, extra coffee and very comfortable beds. It was perfect for us.
