"I am extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel from 21 May to 24 May.
Neither the hotel nor the booking platform informed me that major renovation works were taking place. When I checked in on 21 May, I noticed Floors 17–21 were blocked off, but no explanation was given.
On the morning of 23 May at around 8:30am, my family and I were awakened by extremely loud hacking and drilling noises. The disturbance was unbearable, so I called the front desk to complain. I was told it was an “urgent repair” and was repeatedly given apologies.
Unfortunately, the same thing happened again on 24 May, including on a Sunday morning. Once again, loud hacking and drilling started around 8:30am. When I questioned why guests had not been informed of such disruptive works, I was again told it was merely “urgent maintenance.”
This explanation is difficult to accept. The scale, duration, and intensity of the hacking and drilling clearly resembled major renovation works rather than minor maintenance.
As tourists on a family holiday, we expected a comfortable and relaxing stay. Instead, we were repeatedly disturbed by construction noise, making it impossible to enjoy the hotel or rest properly. Had I been informed in advance about these works, I would not have chosen this hotel.
This was a terrible and frustrating experience. As the booking platform through which I made this reservation, I would like to know what assistance, compensation, or resolution can be offered."
