"The Sunset Motel was a great stop over during a two week vacation. I picked the location because of its vicinity to the Pretty Place Chapel. The downtown area provided an opportunity to streak my legs wandering in and out of the unique businesses and great places to eat. Highly recommend."

"I didn't like the $50 fee, that I still don't understand; and was told it would be refunded(?) The staff and the cleanliness of the motel were excellent. They need (and I talked with Mukesh Patel; the General Manager) to have instructions in the room explaining the TV control/remote; it is NOT self-explanatory! I would absolutely stay here again (especially if I could reserve room #101)! King bed and on end of building."

"We arrived for a concert on Friday at 2pm even though the site said check in was at 3. We were greeted by the manager/ owner and promptly checked in within 3 minutes. We had two keys and proceeded to our room just two doors down the hall. Room was nice and clean, tv was adequate (no written guide) but a large mini fridge and a large bathroom. The night was quiet after we got back. The only complaint would be the bed which was a little firm for our liking. "

"What a gem this hotel was. It was a bit of a lucky find but glad we found it. Rooms were modern but had a rustic vibe. Room was also very spacious with a lot of room to move about. Very nice porch as well with a lovely babbling brook right outside the door. The only drawback was the 2 skylights that let in dawns light at 6am every morning, hence the 3 stars on comfort. We got used to it but it would be nice to have something set up to shade the light. We also liked easy access to extra towels...

"I loved the fact that we could open windows and listen to the rain and get a cross-breeze in the room. I loved the fact that no pets and no smoking were allowed; this kept the rooms clean and funk-free! The site was very quiet and, in our case where our room was in the back lot, extremely quiet with a view of trees and lawn. "The property is beautiful and in a great location to walk to all of Highlands. Our room was very nice and we loved our fireplace. We didn't get to use the amenities due to COVID restrictions/NC Curfew but will stay here again and can't wait to enjoy them then!"
