"We were looking for an “off-tourist” spot since we flew in from nyc and were driving up to La fortuna. This was an absolute gem. Plenty space for kids to run/play, hot springs, gorgeous river stream. We only had one morning, but would’ve easily stayed for a couple nights if we didn’t have our next stop scheduled! Totally recommend this place - be prepared as this is more like a high-end “glamping”. Plenty beds and sleeping accommodations. Very respectful and accommodating staff. "

"The property and surroundings were beautiful. The room was very nice and fit our family of four perfectly. We loved hearing the nature noise maker surrounding us and the nature hike was really fun too. I would recommend a 4x4 to get to the property, it is a good ways up a bumpy road."

"This is a magical stay and we can’t say enough about how much we loved being at the Monkey Tree house. We walked down to the river and went for a swim, saw howler monkeys, strawberry poison dart frogs, and had a relaxing afternoon. Alondra and the team served us amazing breakfasts in the morning and took time to chat. Rae gave us good advice on what to do with one of our kids being sick. We took her advice and got some medicine from the pharmacy. We had a pizza delivery right to our treehouse....

"It was in middle of jungle, did night and bird watching around lodge and we saw many animals. Very happy we found this gem. Rooms are basic and breakfast wss great."

"Excellent hôtel en pleine nature. Il faut prendre une pirogue depuis le parking pour accéder au lodge. Certaines chambres sont à 20 mètres de haut dans les arbres. D’autres au bord d’un plan d’eau d’un bon confort (clim’, ventilo, réfrigérateur ET congélateur, terrasse). Mais le top est la nature environnante où on peut croiser pleins d’animaux sauvages ! "Très belle découverte avec un environnement particulièrement riche. Tout est un savoureux mélange donnant une experience très agréable notamment grâce à un environnement propice à la rencontre avec la faune locale. Seul bémol la personne à l'accueil et au service du repas du soir qui ne nous paraît pas adaptée pour ce métier. Pour autant, cela n'a pas entaché notre sejour."
