Let's start with where the hotel is located, Le Mar Iowa.... also known as "the sewer city" for the smell. In the room I stayed in the past was coming off the walls, the sheets were dirty, the bathroom floor tiles were broken and coming up.

Rooms were very clean, the free breakfast actually had a great selection of pastries, eggs, sausage, pancakes. Hot coffee and assortment of juices. Staff acted like it was an imposition to check me in. I needed to clarify almost every request they had because they were soft spoken. Room had a broken floor tile in bathroom, hair on the floor. In main room the lampshade was crumbling, another had to be wiped off.
