"We visited from the Los Angeles area of California. This was our first time to Budva and staying at your hotel. From the moment we entered the hotel, we were greeted very kindly from all of the hotel staff we encountered. We arrived very early (07;30) and we knew that we could not check-in until 15:00. The receptionist was very kind to tell us that they would have a room ready for us within an hour. We walked around the property a little bit, familiarizing ourselves with the campus while our room was getting ready. We were escorted to our room by a very kind bellhop, and much to our surprise we realized that we were upgraded from a regular, "sea view room" to a beautiful "Sea View Villa". The view of old-town Budva from our bedroom and balcony were like a scene from an old postcard. One of our favorite things, while staying at the Avala Hotel, was going to breakfast each morning. The breakfast buffet was AMAZING! We had never seen as many different choices in a buffet before. The hotel has a private beach which includes lounge chairs and sun-umbrellas to guests of the Hotel. Also there are 3 pools (2 outdoor and 1 indoor), including a Spa Center, Gym and other wonderful amenities. The Hotel is located just a couple of footsteps from the walls of the Old Town. The architecture and ambience of the hotel, while done very nicely in a modern style, captures the essence and charm of the centuries-old town. We highly recommend staying at the Avala Hotel."

"Big thick ancient stone walled building, wooden floors & ceilings, historic decor, huge character & comfort. Staff were delightful & most helpful. You are right within the old town walls & minutes from everything. This accommodation leaps you back in time. We had the 3 bedroom apartment with kitchen & laundry facilities & were very comfortable & loved our lodgings. The only thing with ancient, the sewer smell they were working hard to repair at the time of our stay. The apartment also advertised sound proof rooms, which they are not. If you’re a light sleeper, this is a challenge. We embraced the authenticity of the place, with ringing church bells, echoing ancient street sounds & used white noise & ear plugs. I would stay there again & highly recommend."

"I just got back from a lovely 5 day stay at this hotel. The lady who checked us in, was so kind. All staff at this hotel take pride in their jobs and genuinely care. When arriving back from a day trip, you are greeted with "welcome back". Breakfast is plentiful and fresh. Hotel is modern and clean. A firmer pillow was quickly provided upon request. Top tip: taxis require cash. The hotel staff will book you a taxi, however when you arrive at the airport, the taxi drivers will rip you off. I would advise booking ahead. We were charged nearly 3x more than our journey home. 100% recommend this hotel. It is slightly further out, however most restaurants on the bay provide boat pick up service."

"My time here was great as a solo traveler, it was a really calming end to my trip. Everything was great from the check in to check out, food is absolutely amazing. It is easy to spend way too much money here but you get what you pay for."

"Only got to stay for a single night, but it was an absolutely delightful stay. The staff was friendly, the food and drinks were delicious, and the facilities were a highlight of my trip! My only regret is that this was the end of my trip so I only got to stay for one night."

"This is a new property. Amazing staff but they are working out the kinks. Location is amazing and this property has the ability to be a top property when they get some proper training. Staff wants to shine bright just missing some guidance. With all that said I will try again in a few months. I look forward to see how they embrace their potential!!"
