"As we were travelling to Prague, we received a message with the check-in details and a request for a substantial deposit (apparently to protect the tech in the apartment?). As we were en route and not really in a position to argue at that point, we paid the deposit. While it has now been refunded, we're completely baffled about why this happened - there is nothing at all about this in the listing, and Expedia have nothing to say on the matter. I think it's important to raise it here in case it...

"The location is great. Close to the train station, but not too close. Enter through a secure door into a pleasant interior. The receptionist is really nice and helpful, and there is an area to leave luggage if needed. We were on the fifth floor; thankfully, there is an elevator. The room was clean and had most everything we needed. The bed was comfy, and there was space to open up your suitcases and not be cramped. Nice-sized shower and bathroom. There is a small fridge and a dishwasher."

"This is my 2nd stay. Love the location. To get to apartment, take metro B, get off at Karlovo náměstí stop, exit the subway by following the sign Palackého náměstí. A few of things to take into consideration when booking: 1) No front desk. All communications is via Whatsapp. 2) You must take the stairs (16 steps) to get to the elevator. 3) No AC, but oscillating standing fan provided or simply open the windows. 4) No housekeeping. 5) Thin mattress. None of that deterred me from returning....
