St Joseph's by the Sea is basically a no amenities hotel (no TV, no mini fridge, no sofa, a just a small bin by the toilet) - not the romantic getaway we thought we'd booked for Valentine's Day. "Always a great stay! The rooms are nice, gym is well equipped and apartments are well stocked with the essentials. Only down side was my Expedia perk (free wine) wasn’t provided and charging per night for a baby cot, fortunately we were only there 2 nights so didn’t get too expensive."

"You need to know that for late night check ins you must go in through the pub. It's a little worn out but not the end of the world. Shower tap handles fall off. The sofa bed mattress is in terrible condition. Everything else is fine for a budget. Air con worked, not too noisy, large enough. "

"Had a fantastic stay at Punthill Sunshine. The room was huge and spotless, with a very comfortable bed and a great shower. The kitchen was well-furnished, which was a nice bonus. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and I really appreciated the complimentary still and sparkling water. Highly recommend!"
