We have had some wonderful days in Polignano, with great weather, friendly local people, and a fantastic atmosphere.
Our stay at the hotel has also been enjoyable, but there are a couple of things that detract from the overall experience. Let me start with the positive aspects:
The room was spacious, the air conditioning worked very well, the housekeeping was excellent, and the staff were very welcoming and helpful (when you were able to reach them). The hotel is also very conveniently located, close to the train station, the town center, the main square, and local grocery stores.
What the hotel needs to improve is responding to inquiries sent via WhatsApp and through the Hotels.com messaging service. Guests are encouraged to contact the hotel via WhatsApp in an information brochure provided in the room, which seems rather pointless to me when messages—including direct questions from us—are read but not answered.
The replenishment of breakfast items, beverages, shampoo, and conditioner has also been inconsistent and was overlooked on several days. In addition, the hotel would benefit from replacing towels more frequently than once a week. A safe in the room would also be useful.
To conclude, the positive aspects outweigh the negative ones, and we feel that we received good value for money. However, please make yourselves more accessible and respond to messages from your guests!
