Poggio Baronti B&B

Bagno a Ripoli

10/10 Excellent

Why would you wait to pass away and go to heaven( if you believe so) if you can simply book a ticket to Florence and visit "Poggio Baronti"?!! An amazing and spectacular villa hidden in the heart of Tuscany with superb panorama view and just 7-8 minutes drive away from the city(That is exactly what we liked most-privacy and beautiful nature). I guess I would not surprise anyone of the readers after I confess that the Italian hospitality and respect from "Poggio Baronti" staff was something that...

Communication was great, and it was easy to park and do the self check-in. The room was very spacious and comfortable with all the facilities we could need. Breakfast was excellent, including the delicious home-made cake selection. It was so nice sitting in the garden to enjoy the breakfast. The air conditioning could have been a bit stronger but we were staying in the middle of a heatwave and the extra fan provided meant we didn't have much trouble sleeping. We would definitely stay again when...

Hotel is lovely, decor is beautiful and such a great location in the centre. The only issue that really let it down was the noise from the nightclub :( the entrance/smoking area was bang outside our window and I didn’t get any sleep for 2 nights even using the ear plugs provided. My partner had no issues but if you’re a light sleeper like me (and grumpy with lack of sleep) this might not be the best place.

My favourite thing was the shower, such a great size in comparison to some of the standard sizes in Italian accommodation. If you’re happy to have a 20 minute walk to the main tourist area this is perfect, amazing boutique shops nearby but the property was so clean and the room size was perfect. There was an issue with the access keypad but the owner arrived so quick to help and the communication for the property in general was seem-less. I would definitely book again for any future trips.
