"Great location, clean and comfortable room, friendly staff, nice toiletries and great selection of coffee and teas. Great food and drinks available onsite.
Ideas for improvement- larger fridge, the fridge is tiny - other than the free water that is provided you can’t fit anything more in there. Robes would be nice as well as body lotion or hand cream in the bathroom."

"A lovely old grade 2 listed house. Excellent location for Poole Quay and harbour. Parking in visitor’s public car park just across the road. Overnight parking is very reasonable. David was a fabulous host with plenty of stories to tell and the house is full of interesting “stuff” that he has collected. Delicious breakfast cooked to order. Our room on the second floor was very small and hot, but the others are bigger. Best to ask David before you book. Would definitely stay again."

"Huge bathroom. No towel rail by the basins every time wash hands had to drip water to a rail 5 feet away. And incredibly No Shower. Huge bath with side taps but no facility to wash and rinse hair. Come on Greene King its 2026 not 1826."

"We chose this hotel because of its fabulous location and the photos on the website, which made it look stylish and inviting. Unfortunately, the reality didn’t match our expectations.
The hotel itself is looking quite tired and could really do with some refurbishment. "Had a wonderful stay at Anchorage, it’s such a fantastic location. The place was spotless and had everything we needed.
Great communication from the hosts and everything went very smoothly in terms of checking in/checking out.
Would definitely recommend this place and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again."
