The service was amazing and the food was delicious. Everyone from the owners who made you feel like family to all the servers were excellent. The owners spoke English. Although Steffi did not speak a lot of English she tried and always had a smile and was delightful. The tub was an unexpected surprise but a very good surprise. There was also a shower. I highly recommend this gasthof and if we come back we will definitely stay here again.

Best hotel so far
Very nice hotel with friendly staff. Easy to park an you feel a bit special as guest due to the nice treatment. Breakfast was great with a lot to select from. Excellent hotel

Amazing and cozy little place
Amazing and cozy place close to A7, but still adequately far away, so it feels like you’re experiencing the rural Röhn area. Lovely food(very good schnitzels) and solid tasty breakfast.
Super friendly staff, spacious rooms and very clean indeed.
Absolutely one of the best(if not THE best) stopover we’ve had in Germany. Highly recommended.

Landgasthof in einem hübschen kleinen Ort in der Nähe der Wasserkuppe der Rhön.
Sehr freundliche Bedienung beim Frühstück und beim Abendessen auf der Terrasse.

Der Landgasthof ist wirklich sehr nett gelegen mitten im Poppenhausen, nur 10 Minuten von der Wasserkuppe entfernt. Der Service hier ist definitiv sehr gut und nett, das Frühstück lecker und das Zimmer groß genug und sauber. Parkplätze gibt es vor dem Haus oder maximal 2 Minuten entfernt an der Straße. Leider liegt der Gasthof direkt neben einer Kirche, sodass das Fenster für einen ruhigen Schlaf geschlossen sein muss.

An elderly couple from UK
The hotel is amazing and the location is exceptionally nice, like stay in a fairy tail location. The hotel staff is very polite and extremely helpful.
