Great Hotel

The Hotel and location are great, our issue was that next door to the hotel is a shipping dock and a shipyard, a barge was continuously running a bilge pump, and the ship yard continuously banging on the hull renovating an old ship, in turn very noisy during the day and night especially if out on the balcony.

Excellent location, minutes walk to town. Easily accessible to transportation and for tours. Great service at reception. Restaurant staff need to be a little more attentive to dining guests. Would definitely come back

This is a perfect spot to stay in the heart of Vila. Close to the markets and an easy walk to all that Vila has to offer. The pool and pool area are a great place to relax with a cold tusker. Like all places in Vanuatu, the staff is what makes the stay special. Everyone goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is enjoyable. The food at the restaurant was also fantastic. Overall I would recommend if you want to stay in the heart of Vila.

Everything inside the property was excellent. Although parts of the the facility are currently under renovation, there was no inconvenience to guests. The staff were very friendly and professional and even helped us with a taxi driver who over charged our group. Sadly the area outside the facility has the same problem with the rest of Port Vila roads....in need of major overhaul & repairs.

Hotel and staff were fab, our only issue was the pool was out of action for maintenance. I know this needs to be done but when a main part of your holiday plans was to laze around a pool it did put a dampener on things. You could go over to Iririki Island to have a swim in the pool but at $25 per person it’s not feasible for the duration of the holiday. Vouchers should have been offered, or at least an email explaining and giving the option to rebook somewhere else.

The first impression from the outside is dreadful, dirty and run down, we sat in the taxi and our jaws dropped.Go inside and the reception area is rather underwhelming, then the cigarette smoke hits you and the poor condition inside. The smoke smell is everywhere, comes out of the casino and goes up the stairs, we were on the second floor and could smell it as soon as we opened our door, the foyer area stunk, and it flowed into the dining area. The No smoking non vaping signs outside the front door ignored and the hotel does nothing about it, people smoke and vape in the pool area and on the outside bar area. This place would be great if you like the stench of old smoke and don't mind smoke drifting into your personal space, the smell goes through at least the first 2 floors, we never went any higher, the lifts also stunk of what I don't know, but they were rather putrid. We had a panorama room, room size was good and fittings pretty good, the view is amazing. The pool area really has no shade so not an area you can spend much time in, even if you don't mind other people's smoke. The breakfast was ok, nothing special but did the job. The Alacarte menu, is rather hit and miss, did not have a decent meal there, except for fish and chips. Staff were very friendly and helpful cannot fault them; it is also a good position. The grout on the floor in the foyer area and dining area is absolutely filthy, needs a thorough refurb downstairs. All rooms have a view, Avoid first floor !!

We were upgraded to the top level from our panoramic room booking. It looks like this room was recently renovated. Great views to irikiri & beyond. Would recommend going elsewhere for food. We had the buffet breakfast & the offering was pretty poor for the price.
