"Rustic hotel accommodation right on beach, 10 minute drive out of Arugam Bay. Tuk Tuk accessible. Basic accommodation with wifi only in verandah of our unit (11), and in dining area. Lovely atmosphere and staff are very accommodating and friendly. Loved their Sri Lankan meals. It’s not 5 star hotel but the staff make up for it. "
"Booked this hotel through Expedia prior to my trip, when I landed in Colombo I received a text message from a French (+33) number saying that my booking at The Coconut would be cancelled, and that the prices I had booked were no longer valid! "Parfait ! Tout est parfait, la location, les repas, le staff et mention spécial au propriétaire qui nous a donnait pleins de conseils, d’endroit à tester, il nous a arrangeait un safari, le transport et … nous avons tellement aimé que nous avons changer nos plans pour y revenir durant notre séjour.
La location est parfait à 2mn en scooter de tout, en étant dans un endroit calme avec piscine et en bord de mère.

"The Danish Villa is set in a peaceful garden away from the road and staffed by friendly staff. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable.
The beach is seconds away and so are many places to eat.

Ein paar Dinge, die ich als Verbesserungsvorschläge hätte: Ein Mülleimer im Bad, eine Badematte, eine Klobürste, eine Seifenschale sowie Duschgel und Shampoo wären super. Ein Moskitonetz über dem Bett wäre auch eine tolle Ergänzung!

"We really enjoyed our time at PodBay, we used the pool lots and the sun loungers. It is right on the beach so if you want a swim in the waves you can just walk out to them or stay by the pool. Our cabin was lovely and the air con worked really well. We were looking for somewhere to relax for a few days and it was perfect. The staff were helpful and friendly too."
