"Stayed in a room with twin beds. Room was clean and new. Quiet at night, slept well, good shower. Good breakfast-eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, cold cuts, cheese, breads, fruit and juices. Walking distance to Edinburgh Tram. Front desk staff would not give us a late check out by one hour. Very annoying male breakfast worker moved us from the our table. We initially sat at a table for 2, but moved because a man sat nearby that had doused himself with a bottle of cologne. We moved to a table for 6 further away. The male worker said we could not sit there because it was for six people. The room was half empty and never filled more than half full the entire time we ate breakfast. He grabbed my plate of food and moved it to a table for 2. He wore no gloves. This upset me because he was removing other dirty dishes from the tables. I did not eat any of the food on the plate he touched. Instead, I returned to the buffet and filled a plate with new food. The next day, we sat at a table for 2 for breakfast. My husband left a half filled plate while he went to the buffet for something he forgot. The same man tried to take his plate and mine even though I was still eating food from it?! I yelled at him to leave us alone. Also, both days we ate there, he literally ran around the room trying to take plates from people. Also, I used the hotel lobby bathroom just before leaving. It had a strong floral scent causing me to cough and sneeze. Stop polluting the air. "

"Staff are nice and welcoming However , i did call to the hotline on Public website to confirm any EV charger in village hotel Edinburgh and was told there are 12. When we arrive to the hotel , the receptionist told us the EV charger can only be used on this summer. Making us so frustrating and need to arrange EV charge to the nearest Morrisons. It is not too troublesome but it is not professional to give out incorrect information to the customer. For the House Keeping we have no idea how benefit it could be we need to put the sign before 11pm a night before to secure the housekeeping. Also the towel is not replaced but only being taken away from the room. And obviously the pillow cases and blanket has not been changed , we actually had a pillow fell on the floor and we wish a clean one to be replaced and finally we did not know which one is the dirty one. A green mug was found full of black dots and dust in the room but still the housekeeping did not aware and change it. No full size mirror in the room. No sufficient clothes rack for the clothes / jacket s , obviously there is an empty wall behind the door area that can have something fitted on. Insufficient charging point in the room or in between the beds The lamp mounted is not working properly. "
