"We chose this hotel based on location and onsite parking availability. It was a great choice. The staff were amazing and the breakfast buffet was phenomenal, best I think I’ve ever seen at a location such as this. We were even offered a complimentary glass of wine in the lounge in the evening. I’d highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Óbidos overnight."

"Staying right in the walled city of Obidos at the historic castle was a treat. We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend. It was really lovely to be within the walls to enjoy strolling around in the evening and early mornings before all of the day visitors arrived. Breakfast was delicious. Our only complaint was the air conditioning in our room was not working. The unit would run on fan only. When running on cool it would run for about 3 minutes and immediately shut off. When we reported the issue to staff they told us it was functioning as intended and that we just didn't understand how to use it. My husband is an electrical contractor so we are pretty sure we had a good handle on how a wall AC works. We decided not to ruin the stay by arguing since we had a work around. While it was very hot during the day, the evening was cool so we simply opened the windows and doors to get a cross breeze going. Other than that one issue we would definitely return and recommend this hotel to other travelers."

"Our hotel receptionist at check-in - Ester, was of great help. Ester, along with all the staff at the hotel were friendly and accommodating. The free breakfast buffet was very good with a nice variety of choices and a life-saving coffee machine, that would make a number of coffee blends. Although the bathroom in our room was a little difficult to maneuver in, primarily because there was a bathtub/shower combination, overall our stay was very good. There was a good restaurant nearby. Parking was good and I would say that a car is a necessity at this location."

"Ive stayed there many times over a 26 year period. Its always been very good. Rooms are excellent, spacious, clean, missed the minibar being stocked but thats all. Comfortable beds, heating/air con great, lovely fluffy bath towels, great power shower. Breakfast is truly excellent buffet, English and Continental. Evening meal was part of a package arranged for my friends who were with me, and 2 nights it was frankly inedible. The restaurant relented and let them have the á la carte on the last night, but this is the reason for my 4star rating. Also Breakfast on Wednesday, 3 coach loads of Japanese tourists came in just for breakfast. Ive never seen so many Japanese outside of Japan. For guests, getting even a cup of coffee took 30 mins and forget getting a table. So this was disappointing too. But overall very good value and nice to see restaurant manager Luis still there after 29 years! "
