"Our first time in Prague so we selected the Charles Bridge Palace hotel for its rates and its location. Only minutes from the Charles Bridge...and maybe 10 minutes from historic Old Town Square. The hotel is clean and bright and interesting with staircases and long hallways. Our room was more than spacious! And so was the bathroom!! We had space to store our luggage and hang some clothes. And a nice table and chair to sit and get organized each day. Our bed was very comfortable. And we had a view of the river! The complimentary buffet breakfast is incredible...so many choices you can't possibly try everything and you definitely won't leave hungry."
"I had a wonderful stay at Almanac X Alcron. The location in New Town is perfect - it's just close enough to walk to literally everything (even Mala Strada and the Palace across the river), Metro stop is <10 minutes, tons of shopping, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, grocery (multiple mini marts, M&S and a little further - Billa). Quiet location - I heard no one from outside or inside my entire stay.
The room itself was spacious and modern. It was spotlessly clean from check in to check out. The coffee maker in the room is wonderful (with complimentary non-dairy milk if needed) and complimentary still & sparkling waters are replenished daily.
The staff was wonderful & welcoming. A welcome drink is offered at check in, porters available to take your luggage up, housekeeping friendly and approachable in the corridors. I had an issue with my coffee maker being blocked and they replaced with an entirely new machine.
I didn't take advantage of the restaurant, bar or spa services, but it's a plus to have them all onsite if you need them! Especially since breakfast starts at 7a on weekend and most places in the area don't always open until 8a (or later).
My only wishes for upgrades are the pillows (because no hotel pillow is great) and the bed was a little noisy if you toss and turn.
Would return and recommend!"
"I came to Prague from a stay in Vienna, where I had to pay about half again as much for a room that was much smaller and less comfortable than what I got in Prague; so this hotel seemed pretty luxurious to me by comparison. The only thing that I didn't like is that if you get a room on the fourth floor, as I did, you will have to deal with slanted walls, on which you can bang your head if you get the side of the bed that is near one of them (I was traveling solo, so I could stay away from that side; but I was still uneasy about the possibility of hitting my head anyway). Great breakfast buffet. Never had a long wait for the elevator. No noise problems. Carpeted floor in the room, which is great if you like to do some calisthenics lying down."
"Great Stay with Comfort and Convenience
I had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. The rooms were cozy and well-maintained, and the breakfast selection was impressive, with plenty of options including fresh produce. The location is excellent—just a short walk to the shopping mall and very close to public transport, which made getting around easy. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, and the price felt very reasonable for the quality offered. Overall, a great choice for both convenience and comfort."
