Great Place But No Air Con in Prague Summer Heat!
We didn't actually end up staying at the Hotel Kavalir due to the fact that it was closed(due to Covid-19) so we was kindly allocated a new hotel from them which was part of their chain called the Hotel Belvedere so unfortunately I cannot give a full review on the Kavalir but as they are apart of the same group I will imagine that the hotel is the same in terms of its running despite the fact the hotel belvedere is a 4-star hotel so the standards may be slightly higher.
I found the belvedere to be a beautiful hotel with very friendly staff who spoke English perfectly, the bedrooms were clean the hotel was well looked after and the the facilities were of a good quality and well maintained too.
My only gripe however was the lack of air conditioning in the room, during our visit Prague hit temperatures of around 36 Degrees Celsius and was very humid at night making it very, very difficult to sleep. We ended up having to buy our own fan for around 400 Czech koruna (£13) which had to come out of our spending money budget which was a little bit inconvenient.
As the Kavalir is a 3 star against the 4 star Belvedere Hotel I'm going to assume that there is a lack of air conditioning in their rooms too, so if this is the case I would definitely recommend having something in place ready, especially if you're visiting in the summertime because sleeping can be an impossibility without good air conditioning during these times.
