"The staff and owner were very helpful and friendly. Always smiling. The food was excellent. We had pizzas and they were delicious. Lovely quiet mountain hotel. The shower was first rate as it was beautiful and powerful. We would definitely stay there again. "

"Cogne is simply beautiful. Small enough to be charming, big enough to stay busy and entertained. The Chateau Royal was a great home base. Centrally located, comfortable and we'll equipped. We originally booked two nights but added two more as it was such a great village with so much to do. We hiked, fished, rafted and paraglided plus catching some of the abundant castles and forts in the Sister Valley). This one is a do-over (we'll be back:-)."

Rooms were beautifully kept, we had a lovely balcony and the location is sensational, with stunning views of the Alps and across Aosta. The included breakfast was first class. The town of Aosta itself is lovely, only a few minutes drive, very easy to find and park with a wide variety of places to eat in the evening.
