Lajitas Golf Resort and Spa

10/10 Excellent

"I really enjoyed my stay there with my mom! The Candelia Cafe had such delicious food, chef Smajo was amazing! We did come during the rain season (june) and so there were a lot of mosquitos but general store did have bug spray. I would still bring your own just in case! If you are driving, come on the Alpine side! It was such a beautiful place to be and to be off the grid. The staff helped us with whatever we needed and it felt right out of a Western movie."

"The hotel room was clean. It was very nice. The bathroom was clean. The staff that we dealt with were very nice. What was not cool was that we chose to stay at this hotel because there was a steakhouse and a coffee house attached with the hotel and that's what sold us. However, both of those are closed. We got no notification about it and there was no discounted rate. Being that Fort Davis is a small town there are not a lot of places to go and for the steak dinner that we thought we were going to get we had to travel to Alpine. However, everything else was okay. Not a lot of food choices there."

"Not the Ritz, but comfortable and reliable! The Antelope Lodge is an older hotel, but it's always clean and comfortable. The hot water works fine (it just takes a minute to warm up), and the A/C is fantastic, which is exactly what you need in the summer when it hits 100 degrees. It’s a nice, quiet spot that gets the job done. To top it off, the staff has always been great to deal with."

Riata Inn

10/10 Excellent

"This hotel is great for a place to stay for a night. No extravagant amenities, but met our needs for one night stay. It is not in town but close enough if you have a car to get to everything. Hot shower, very clean room and has soap and shampoo, and clean towels. Fridge and microwave for convenience. Hotel staff was very nice at check in."
