"Hotel ZaZa Houston was a great stay with a true luxury feel. The staff were amazing and made the experience feel very personalized from the moment I arrived, including a lovely glass of bubbly rosé at check-in. The hotel itself has a beautiful old Hollywood vibe, with stylish decor and a signature scent throughout that makes the whole place feel elegant and memorable. I really appreciated the thoughtful amenities like the morning coffee station on each floor and the afternoon cookies in the lobby. The complimentary car service within a 3-mile radius was incredibly convenient and made getting around feel easy and safe, especially as a solo female traveller. My only small drawback was that the air conditioning unit was quite loud when running. Overall, a wonderful stay and I would definitely return."

"The hotel is currently under major construction, making it difficult to give a full rating. The bed was comfortable, and while the room was very small, it worked for sleeping and showering. The bathroom lighting is very dim, making it difficult to apply makeup or do hair. Breakfast is available for $10 but is not included and requires a ticket; the attendant is very strict about this. Parking is $30 per day in a garage that is somewhat in disarray due to construction. A major plus is that although checkout is at 11:00 AM, garage access is allowed until 11:59 PM, which was very helpful. We were in town for the Lone Star Regional Volleyball tournament at the convention center, and with Sunday game times being TBA, the extended parking access added convenience. The rail train is located across the street, but there is significant walking between connections. While inexpensive (about $1.25 per person per ride), it can be confusing and frustrating if you’re unfamiliar with the city. We found Uber/Lyft to be a more convenient option."

"Room had weird smell to it, someone half cleaned the room. There was food in the fridge from the previous guest. We had have the housekeepers change out hhr covers and sheet they looked worn. First and last time staying at this place.only q elevator worked out of 4. Not what I was expecting from a Crown plaza hotel. We were on there 2 nights so made the best of it.The restaurant food was good.Will not recommend hotel."
