"FYI: this property is in the middle of a huge remodeling project. Half the "amenities" are either not open or shouldn't be. Knowing which building (as there are several) that's used for checking in should have been sent beforehand - checking in at the General Store is not intuitive. The girls there were great, very informative. The room was clean EXCEPT for the floor which likely hasn't been cleaned EVER. We had to keep flipflops on or else the bottoms of your feet are so dirty...just...

"Nantahala Village is, first and foremost, situated in a beautiful mountain location, looking out across a valley to other mountains in the distance. It is very close to Nantahala Outdoor Center and close to Bryson City, as well, so it makes a great base camp for excursions to either destination. "The room was very clean but the outside area was not. Might have been due rain but the area for parking was very muddy. We didn't feel the outside or even the pictures of the window view represented in the advertisement truly represented the experience. It did not feel secluded and the noise from traffic was not what we expected. We didn't have communication with any staff so can't comment on that. Bed was very comfortable. A/C was great the the room and bathroom very clean. Just not what...

"The location was everything we needed. The room was clean but we had tiny flies all in the room. There was a strong smell of pot the whole time we were there. I can’t do a review on breakfast because we didn’t eat there but the facility was clean. The only draw back was the flies and strong smell of pot from others staying there. The location was perfect and the room was clean."
