"This hotel is located in an old building with plenty of character, although it could use some updates. They include a convenient mini fridge in the room. I felt safe in the area, even though it was a bit farther from the train station than I expected, which actually makes it closer to the historic center and the beach. It’s also very close to Rue Masséna and all of its restaurants."
"The way Expedia is describing this hotel is COMPLETELY wrong and misleading. This hotel is very old, the "renovations" they claim to have done are very poor. This hotel has 5 floors and taking the stairs up to my room on the fourth floor you can see serious damage and cracks on the walls and ceilings. The floors are not flat. The hallway floors and my room floor was not flat or even, they are all tilted and the higher floors you go the more visible and pronounced. My room floor was so tilted I felt dizzy standing. I felt unsafe at this hotel. My room floor had such thick carpeting you had to actively push/pull the door open/ close. My whole room, which had a view to the beach, looked old, the TV remote did not work. Parking is not available at the hotel and they couldn't care less and do not help you finding parking. Not even worth 3 stars, let alone 4 as they claim they are. When I addressed these issues at the front desk, I was totally dismissed. It was so bad, I had to leave and find a new hotel that same night. I contacted Expedia and they also dismissed my claims and refused to refund me. I relied on Expedia's description and review of this hotel to book it. I have been a customer with Expedia for over 20 years. The only word here is disappointment. Please do your own research before booking any hotel with Expedia. Had I done that, I would never have booked this horrible hotel."
"Firstly the positives great location for the old town bars and restraunts and high end shops with the beach 2 mins walk from the hotel. Hotel clean and modern but lacking a coffee / bar facilities . WORD WARNING do not expect to sleep before 11.30 pm as across the road is a park that hold live concerts . We had two nights of a rock concert that really put a dampener on the stay with NO prior warning . The hotel offered a 10% 1 night compensation with an excuse its a city ! If I had known I would of looked else where . Check before you book "
"Great hotel to stay for Nice Getaway! Location wise is absolutely perfect- walking distance to main train station (to catch a train to Eze, Monte Carlo or Cannes). Stones throw from all the restaurants and sea literally across the road.
I made sure that I book myself a room that is facing courtyard as from my travel experiences in different places I know that street view rooms can get noisy due to pedestrians and traffic.
I also made sure that I book Premium room as they newly refurbished with grand new deco and all completely new and stylish.
Bed was extremely comfortable (and I'm a fussy sleeper).
We had breakfast included (book through Expedia) and it was a great selection of buffet breakfast options. Staff were all polite and professional so all in all have literally O negative things to say. Would I stay here again? Without a doubt!"
"Room was fine, but somewhat small. No room for a closet or shelves to put clothes, so we had to use the table for our clothes. The toilet seat was a bit to small, it was actually a difficult for a grown man to fit all "parts" into the toilet bowl."
