Check in with was good. Complaints were not recorded and acted upon, for example, after a period of heavy rain and thunder one night, upon return to the room it was flooded and the phone was not working. A complaint was made to the lobby but was never conveyed to the next shift (the staff at the crown leaves at 11 pm). Fortunately, my sister who was in another room, came to check on me and called the operator for assistance. Someone came at about 12:20 to dry up the water. The next morning, the front desk at the Crown Residence told me that unfortunately the staff leaves at 10:50 pm so they must have forgotten to report it. I found this very unacceptable and the disdainful treatment by the lobby staff regarding complaints was horrendous.
The service otherwise was excellent. The dining/restaurant staff were pleasant & the service was superb. Special mention to Fausto & Maria in Casa Blanca, Noel - Blue Lagoon & the Mexican Restaurant, Clara in housekeeping and all the wonderful staff that provided excellent service - that made the trip for me & my family memorable.
The shuttle drivers were amazing & thanks to Jacob who never passed us while waiting - he took us on the gulf cart.
Inspite of the unpleasant experience with the lobby staff at the Crown, the trip was good. Customer complaints must be taken seriously and I was especially bothered because I had my elderly mom who could have slipped on the wet floor.
