For us this is the best place ! Besides the great location and good food and friendly service ... its the people who work there and who visit there that make the difference! Mostly Mexican families and we just love it :) Best margaritas too! Low key property with beautiful grounds. We can’t wait to come back !!
After we got our room straightened out and got the one we actually booked, our stay was fantastic. The space was spacious, deck space was excellent, the cleaning staff were fantastic, the grounds were beautiful and well kept. There is a disco beside the property which was active Thursdays thru Saturday Erving ending between 3-5 am. If your room is at the back of the room facing the disco, it will keep you awake. Our room was facing the ocean with a room between us and the rear of the building so we could isolate ourselves from the sound and could get a good night sleep.
We recently stayed at los tules in puerto Vallarta and had a horrible experience. Our room was broken into and they stole our passports, shoes and other valuable items. The hotel security is fake and the management does not care to help. A police report was filed and the hotel would not give us a copy of the incident report. There were bugs and lizards inside the room. There are absolutely no cameras and as a tourist this is not a safe place to stay especially if your traveling with family. The security guard at the front gate let’s anyone through the gate and does not even question or ask if they are staying there or visiting. I would not recommend this place to anyone if you want to feel safe during your trip.

No recomendable
Pros:

We stayed at Los Tules 9-1-2018 thru 9-8-2016. Not the best time to go as weather is hot and humid. Los Tules is a clean, comfortable resort. Well maintained pools and landscaping. The resort is on the main bus line and there is a grocery store across the street. On site restaurant was closed when we were there but opened the last day of our stay and it looked nice. Would go back and stay a Los Tules during more comfortable weather time.
The staff were especially creepy and were knocking on the door of our hotel at 3am in the morning , completely unprofessional . They make you feel uncomfortable. Our place was not even cleaned everyday , they skipped room service twice out of the 5 days we were there. Also, they tried to blame us on the damage that happened to the place next to us , constantly changing their story and obviously wanting to get money from us and take advantage of us. And lastly , on their website it says that the hotel is “all inclusive” (which is why we purchased it) but it is NOT all inclusive . Nothing there is free , it was a complete lie on their website. Out of all the choices in puerto Vallarta , I would NOT recommend this place.
