Older but well maintained hotel. Extremely quiet. Easy to park and great access to town and the university. Staff was professional, friendly and knowledgeable.

The updated room was nice! Bed was comfortable, location is close to Stephenson and not too bad of a walk to Greek row.
Three stars for the lack of working amenities - unfortunately the refrigerator didn’t work (sad discovery the next morning) and we couldn’t get the TV to connect, zero coffee in the room and the use styrofoam cups

The Garden Inn is an older building. The carpets in the hallways are musty & doors are a bit rickety. The rooms do not have dead bolts & didn’t feel super secure, but area didn’t feel unsafe. Rooms had TVs but no service, not even local stations… Luggage racks in rooms would have been helpful. Pillows were TERRIBLE! Other bedding was good.
I was stuck at US airport given flight delays and cancelations with the federal government shutdown last Friday. So I couldnt get home in time to drive to Pullman for a family weekend.
I called Expedia and went to great pains to explain that 2 other relatives could go, just not me. We changed the reservation to my husband's name and the agent called the hotel to ensure the room was charged to my card but in his name so he could check in with his own ID.
Instead the hotel manager ranted at my husband when they arrived, and charged him for 2 separate rooms. Instead of simply replacing my name with his for 1 room/1 night reservation.
This hotel is dishonest and underhanded for treating customers that way. We are furious. We could have cancelled everything with 100% money back thru our travel insurance. Instead the hotel manager blamed Expedia for everything and charged us for an extra empty room.
A total scam.
This hotel has one of the best beds I’ve ever slept in! I can honestly say I’ve never had a better night sleep at a hotel. I was so pleasantly surprised. Great location, close to campus. Parking is limited but we always found a spot. Employees were very nice!

Doors do not lock properly. Deadbolt is there, but does not bolt into anything. The doors were hung in a way that does not match up with the frame. Only the handle locks.
Front desk personnel very nice (David?)
Quick check in the staff was really polite and there's a really good restaurant next door that was walking distance! You're right in the middle of Pullman, so everything is about a 10 minute. Walk it was perfect..
Front desk staff member very kind and efficient.
Room was terrific!

"Breakfast on weekends" was on the website but was inconvenient for the temporary manager, so there was none. No grab bar or towel/robe hooks in bathroom. No coffee service in room, although there were two mugs.Old beat up 60s building BUT the shower was strong, and the mattress and bedding were comfy.
The hospitality was amazing! The biscuits and gravy in the morning, were made personally by the owner and were some of the best I’ve ever tasted. The staff was so inviting and welcome. It felt like home away from home. Will definitely stay there again.
