This property is beautiful and has many incredible features. I wish I could have given it a perfect rating...but there are a few things that need improvement.
First, we stayed in a swim out garden view room. This gave us lots of special features and access that were great! Very worth it. Our butler, Roalvys, was FANTASTIC.
Arrival was rough, but I'm not sure it was the norm. A large business group arrived at the same time, and we waited in line for over an hour.
Our first room faced a hotel under construction. It was noisy and an eye sore. However, Roalvys moved us to the other side of the hotel, which was perfect! (Building 4)
The hotel, grounds, and rooms are incredible. Very clean, updated and well appointed.
The service good some of the time - but not good most of the time. Very disappointing. This could easily be improved.
The food was bad! This was our biggest disappointment. I've stayed at other AI in Mexico and have been very happy with the food. (TRS and El Dorado Seaside) We found a few things that were good and tried to order them again. However, several things were bad and, in some cases, inedible.
Two stand outs for quality and service were the coffee shop and the Aqua Club. Miladys was a wonderful bartender!
The beach was good. Lots of seaweed, but they worked hard to remove it. Some days were better than others. (This was one of the reasons we went to Punta Cana instead of Mexico, but it wasn't really better.)
Overall, great and would go again!
