Hotel Pisa Tower
2/10 Terrible
"This hotel was the worst experience. We got to Pisa around 9:00 PM, took a taxi to the hotel, and found nobody at the lobby because they leave at 8:00 PM. I later discovered they had sent me a message explaining how to check in by myself and that the actual room was located three blocks away from the main hotel building. When you are traveling in a foreign country with no Wi-Fi, sending a message like this the same day is completely useless. This is something guests should be clearly told before booking.
The whole point of renting a hotel instead of an Airbnb is to avoid situations where you are left to figure everything out yourself late at night in an unfamiliar place.
When we arrived, there was also an older couple there who looked terrified because it was dark and they did not understand the technology or self check-in process. After spending time helping them because we could not just ignore the situation, we started walking through dark streets with no idea where we were heading. There were groups of mostly men standing on both corners near the property, and as three women carrying heavy luggage, we immediately felt unsafe.
We ran back to the hotel and messaged the host explaining that we were scared, and their response was basically, “Pisa is very safe.” Safety is something people should always take seriously and be preventative about, especially when guests are unfamiliar with the area.
After unsuccessfully trying to get another taxi, we finally decided to walk there"

Prato dei Miracoli Residenza d'Epoca
10/10 Excellent
"The only hotel for a perfect view of the Tower. Absolutely perfect location and immaculately presented. Plenty of wonderful cafes for breakfast within easy walking distance. Highly recommend."

Grand Hotel Bonanno
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel rooms were great, with showers that were amazing. I had to ding the staff a bit due to the restaurant staff. We had some communication issues, but not terrible. The only issue is that it is a bit of a walk to the city center, and you have to go under the railroad either way you go. So expect stairs. Cabs are easy to get, and the staff will assist you. Overall, it was one of the best hotel experiences we had during our two-week time in Italy. "

Max Hotel Livorno
10/10 Excellent
"It met our needs. "

Grand Hotel Duomo
8/10 Good
"The rooftop bar is such an incredible view. I was able to invite friends to watch the sunset.
The room was incredibly large with a great bathroom. Loved the relaxed breakfast - great choice of food and drinks
The airconditioning was not working and so the room temperature was uncomfortably warm when the weather was sunny. The staff were helpful and moved me to a higher room so that I could have the windows open with less noise from the street."

AC Hotel Pisa by Marriott
8/10 Good
"Clean room, friendly staff, easy to find and close to the airport "

Hotel La Pace
10/10 Excellent
"Only stayed one night, but this is an easy 15 minutes or so (depending on your pace) from the airport, and just a couple blocks to the train station. Staff was very helpful and made me feel welcome. Room was small and cozy, was perfect for me for a short stay."

Hotel Bologna
8/10 Good
"Hotel was easy to find and nice. My room was not in the main building but rather in a separate building in a courtyard, as a solo female traveller I was initially a bit unsettled by this as people on the street could have access to my room door. The room itself was small but had everything I needed."

Hotel Terminus & Plaza
8/10 Good
"Great location near the central train station. Clean rooms, good breakfast & friendly staff. I would stay again."
