Breakfast was great. A little more than 5 minutes walk to the beach. Very comfortable room and mattress. The place was very clean and the staff helpful. I stayed at one other place but this was much better even though the other place was nice. Not many westerners visit Quy Nhon so you’ll need to rely on translation apps if your tieng viet is weak even at hotels. Even then, everyone is so nice and helpful it’s not a problem.
We had a wonderful stay. The family room was perfect and offered plenty of space for our family of four. We especially loved that there were two bathrooms. The rooms are beautiful and very reasonably priced. The rooftop pool was a major highlight with incredible views of the city and beach. It’s an easy walk to the beach and there are numerous restaurants near the hotel. We would love to stay here again in the future.
This is a great hotel, very charming, lovely bedroom. The place is let down by the restaurant. All food service ends at 9pm and the breakfast was really poor. Trying to aim at Western audience, stale croissants (Vietnam is famed for its great bread and pastries), packet bread. When things empty, eg no fruit in the buffet, you had to ask even though there was a manager and 5 members of staff doing nothing but chatting.
Don’t even offer chopsticks in an Asian country!
Great style hotel, with beautiful French decor felt like a really classy hotel and such good value. We had a smooth friendly check in although not much about hotel was explained to us so had to work it all out for ourselves. Breakfast was a decent selection and for western guests there were fresh eggs to order and nice fresh bread. Room ticked all the boxes, good shower, clean, roomy with nice city view balcony, good complimentary toiletries were provided.
Only negative which hotel could improve is the staff at the sky bar, they need better training/customer skills. We went there during happy hour but you can only choose from 4 cocktails which is a bit strange as the prices are all the same so why the small offer? We proceeded to order another cocktail at 18.10 to be told it had finished but earlier they said happy hour was until 19.00?? It felt like they didn’t really want to give you the promotion and there wasn’t anyone else up in the bar which is just bizarre. Other than that it was a great choice in the lovely city of Quy Nhon.
This is a hotel with so much potential but let down by a lack of attention to details and genuine service.
We (a family of four including a 4yo and a baby) arrived at 7.30am after arriving with the night train. We were sticky and tired and excited by the initial look of the hotel. We asked if we could check in early and were told yes, but we would be charged for a full extra day. We asked if the room was ready or would need to prepared especially and she replied it was ready but we would still have to pay. However if we waited until 12pm it would be free. This just seems so ridiculous. The same room, 4,5 hours later and no fee. We ended up paying so we could have a shower and lie down, but it didn’t scream good customer service.
We were excited about the rooftop but No deckchairs were put up and no umbrellas to shield from the baking sun. A few Deckchairs appeared on our final day there but were weirdly cramped in a corner. On our first night there was a party at the rooftop so no access the pool after 5pm-no warning. No soundproofing so the party might as well have been in our room. They didn’t clean up the rooftop until 11am next day so spent the morning dodging cigarette buds and beer caps.
Breakfast was actually really good. I do wonder what the many staff are there for though, as things were constantly running out and not refilled. Coffee especially.
4yo also had the worst pizza ever here. Could not eat
We also struggled with the lack of English spoken by staff.
