"I stayed for three nights in room 46. It was extremely disappointing. The room looked shabby and badly needed an update. The weather was cold and wet but there were no spare blankets available in the cupboards. No washing up liquid was provided for guests to wash their dishes. No side plates available. "Andy and Gretel have made the Customs house into an amazing place to stay. We stayed in the Policeman's apartment and on arrival realized right away that we'd made a mistake to book only one night - we should have booked several just for the experience of staying in this house longer! The house is directly across from the harbor inside the breakwater. Port McDonnell is small and quaint and a good base for exploring the Limestone Coast. "Memorable experience. Very friendly and helpful warden. It really was a jail, so don't expect The Ritz. Shared shower stalls reminiscent of boarding school. Basic double bed, firm mattress. Excellent hot shower. Nice shared kitchen. Couldn't connect to the internet but neither could Ned Kelly. It'll give you a glimmering of what society's misfits and villains experienced."

"Our 5 Year old loved the pool, the apartment itself was clean and had everything we needed. Bed was a little too soft but that is personal preference. Would definitely consider staying here again."

"I think the the queen bedsheet and pillow cases not changed. In particular the pillow cases where they have a lot of hairs (visible) . It was late night to report back when we noticed it. Nevertheless, we just stay overnight. And it will be good if the toilet has an exhaust fan. Other than that the property is well maintained and comfy."

"It was a good experience. Helpfull staffs and relatively quiet downtown accommodation. Experienced loud music from adjacent rooms during the weekend nights but got stopped by 11:00 pm. The management Seriously need to get rid of that dirty old Sofa in the Matthew living room as it is awful with dirty spots and marks…otherwise it deserve a five star. Will nmot be suitable for elderly folks who will not be able to climb two flight of stairs carrying luggage up and down."

There was some sort of leak in the bathroom, with water pooling on the floor. Not sure where it was coming from (I don’t think it was the shower). Under the sink in the kitchen also leaked. "Doors falling off hinges, horrible uncomfortable bed leaving my partner with terrible back pain, toilet had poo stains in bowl despite a cleaned toilet wrapper on lid. Toilet brush covered in cobwebs so obviously hadn't been cleaned .. carpark terrible to leave, sign out front so bad we drove past 3 times..."
