"The Hotel Braunbar was clean and convenient, if not the most charming hotel we stayed at. The room was quite small. It included a fan, which was essential without A/C. The location is quiet, a little down the street from the central park area. Breakfast was good. The pool and sauna were nice, but the pool was a little overrun with children in the early evening.
Of note, this hotel does not show up on Apple maps when you put in the name. (The hotel staff says it changed names within the past year). This was a little disconcerting when arriving at the train station, but we just started walking and it was very close."
"Hotel Silberhorn was such a pleasant surprise! Since Wengen is a car-free village that you can only reach by train, having the hotel located directly across from the train station was incredibly convenient. The breakfast was delicious, the mountain views were absolutely breathtaking, and every staff member we encountered was friendly and welcoming.
A special thank you to Mario at the front desk. He spoke both Spanish and English, was always kind, professional, and genuinely welcoming. He greeted us every time we came through the lobby and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. One thing we especially appreciated was that he arranged our taxi back to the airport, which made our departure so much less stressful. Every question we had, he either knew the answer or quickly found it for us.
His outstanding customer service made us feel truly taken care of, and it's one of the reasons we'll definitely be returning. Thank you, Mario!"
