"Every single thing about The Cliffside Inn was excellent. The staff were friendly, informative and accommodating. The complimentary wine and appetizers at 5pm was a lovely touch after exploring Newport and waiting to head out for dinner. One night they offered chilled shrimp! We highly recommend the inn, and hopefully we will return some day!"

"Breakfast was good and fresh each morning. Nice touch for sure. Area is extremely walkable with restaurants nearby. The bed was really comfortable. Shower in the Lark Suite is tricky to figure out but a lot of water pressure. While we were there the hot water in the shower did not work very well. We let them know and hopefully it is fixed by now."

"The staff seemed flustered or unavailable when we checked in. The room was very small and the shower was even smaller. Breakfast was Adequate, but there’s a lot of better places to eat in Newport. Very good location if you wanna walk to the breakers or the Tennis Hall of Fame and down the hill into Newport"

"The property was quaint, had history and was well located to town. Parking was free and convenient. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were clean. Breakfast was diverse and of quality. What I didn't like was the obvious wear. Walls had dings. Wallpaper was torn. Furniture was old and interesting but faded and tired. We still enjoyed our stay and we would stay again."
