Hyggelig hotell i utkanten av sentrum

Et trivelig hotell i utkanten av heksegryta sentrum. Både basseng og parasoller / solsenger på stranden tilhørende hotellet. Enkel standard og liten bar ved bassenget. Utmerket for familier, lite støy fra lokal området og veldig hyggelig personale. Kommer tilbake hit neste gang.

Wij hadden een ruime studio, helaas niet met zeezicht, die elke dag behalve op zondag voorzien werd van schone handdoeken en een opgemaakt en regelmatig verschoond bed. Appartementen zijn luxer en hebben wel zeezicht. Op internet is op foto's niet duidelijk aangegeven welke een studio of appartement is. De buitenunit van de airco stond op het balkon waardoor het, als de airco aanstond daar erg warm kon zijn. 's avonds hadden we niet altijd heel warm water, maar dat is ook niet nodig bij die temperaturen. Wij waren daar met twee pubers van 17 jaar en de ruimte in de studio was groot genoeg. De appartementen/studio zitten aan een lange boulevard met supermarkten dicht bij. Alleen voor de jeugd is er meer in het stadje wat te doen. Om daar te komen moest je ruim 2 km lopen. Op zich prima te doen en anders kon je voor € 5,- met de taxi. De mensen waren heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Wij hadden elke dag bedjes bij het zwembad tijdens ons 18 dagen verblijf. 1 dag niet, maar hebben aan de barman bedjes gevraagd en dan werden er bedjes bij het strand vandaan gehaald. De bedden in de studio waren wel wat hard, maar dat went na een aantal dagen. Wij hebben het als plezierig ervaren. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding klopt. Op internet geven ze 4 sterren, maar het is niet de 4 sterren zoals je in Nederland bent gewend. Sanitair is schoon, maar onze kraan in de keuken zat los, douchegordijn niet superschoon, maar voor de rest prima te doen. Wij hebben genoten van Kreta en de gastvrijheid!

Terrible Hotel

This hotel was horrible. The rooms look nothing like the pictures online. The staff at the reception barely spoke English, did not offer help with directions or information about things to do and did not seem knowledgeable about restaurants in the area at all. There is NO housekeeping service on the weekend and even on a Monday we had to track them down. When we asked for extra towels, we were asked how many people are in our room as we should have enough towels. We were traveling with my 18 months old son so of course extra towels are needed. The room itself is very loud. You can hear everything and anyone on the hallway and it's just old and outdated. The bathroom is even older and dirty and disgusting! Water in the shower was only dripping out so I could barely wash my hair. I was literally afraid to shower my son in there, that's how dirty is seemed! Our friends stayed down the street at a 5 star hotel which definitely lived up to expectations but unfortunately they were sold out. This is definitely NOT a place to stay with children. It is more of a hostel quality and for young travelers that just don't care. Also the beach is horrible. Full of stones and rocks and it's not nice at all. Rather stay at a nicer hotel in old town Rethymno and rent a car and drive to nice beaches. All the restaurants along the boardwalk are solely for tourists and not authentic Greek. Go to restaurants in old town instead or drive out!

Mixed feelings

Although bed comfort and water flow problems I really did enjoy staying in this hotel and had a wonderful time. It is only because a comfortable night sleep and a good shower are important that I could not recommend as I feel this would upset most people - I actually got used to this after a couple of days.

Fin terrasse med utsikt over sjøen. Nydelig svalt soverom med a/c. God skap plass. Bad var ok, men ikke mer. Safen kunne ikke brukes. Høyt under taket. God plass. Alt var av meget enkel standard. Sevice ok. Benyttet ikke hotell fasiliteter. Brukte strender i retning mot byen som er bedre enn de ved hotellet. Det samme gjelder restaurantene.
